Virginia Peer Specialist Network 2-1-1 is an easy to remember phone number connecting people with free information on available community services. When you dial 2-1-1, a trained professional listens to your situation and suggests sources of help using one of the largest databases of health and human services in Virginia.
Cameron K.Gallagher (CKG) Mental Health Resource Center Family navigators will help you understand the mental health options available for children and assist in finding therapists, psychiatrists or other appropriate services. The CKG model uses the valuable experiences of others who have navigated the mental health system, providing one-on-one support and referral assistance to families across Virginia.
Psychology Today– Research local therapists as to their specific area of treatment, if they accept health insurance and contact information.
Beacon Tree– Helps families gain access to mental health care for children ages 21 and under.
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Virginia– The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Virginia (NAMI Virginia) provides support, education, and advocacy for individuals and families in Virginia affected by mental illness.
