She earned her doctorate in School Psychology from the University of South Carolina and completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School in the departments of psychiatry and pediatric psychology. Her training focused on conducting individualized psychological and neuropsychological assessment of children and adolescents, as well as providing individual and group therapy for anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, disordered eating and other issues that present in childhood. She also received specialized training in identifying PANDAS/PANS.
Dr. Moore specializes in conducting comprehensive psychological, psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessments of children, adolescents and adults in which she strives to identify unique cognitive strengths and weaknesses, as well as provide a better understanding of developmental differences or concerns (e.g., attention, anxiety, mood dysregulation, impulse control, processing speed, memory, learning, giftedness, executive functions). In addition, she conducts cognitive testing for private school admission. Dr. Moore has specialized training in the identification of neurodevelopmental disorders (i.e., Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disabilities, High Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorders) and their presentation across the lifespan.Dr. Moore is particularly skilled in differential diagnosis, clarification of learning profiles, understanding of personality, determining appropriate accommodations and interventions, and consulting with educators and interventionists.
Dr. Moore also enjoys helping young people (preschool through young adulthood) and their families through therapy and consultation. She works collaboratively to address emotional, behavioral and cognitive concerns utilizing a strengths-based, supportive, and affirming approach. She offers various evidence-based treatment approaches, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Supportive Parenting of Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT).
Bryn is a native Texan, though she, her husband and her two children, have had the pleasure of calling Richmond home for the last five years. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, fitness, ballet, music, theatre and the arts.
