Kristen joined Summit in October 2021 as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her MSW from the University of South Carolina in 2006 and has been working in mental health for fifteen years at different levels (inpatient, outpatient, and community services).
Kristen works with adolescents and adults specializing in trauma related disorders, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, LGBTQ+ issues, and personality disorders.
Kristen’s primary therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She believes in creating a safe and supportive environment for people in order to encourage therapeutic learning and growth.
In her free time, Kristen enjoys collecting and listening to vinyl records, spending time with her family, attending comic conventions, and gardening. She uses she/her pronouns.
